POM'S SCARF LOOKBOOK

With the temperature set to drop next week, the POM team have been snapping up their favourite scarves. It’s fair to say that each of us own a healthy (extensive) collection of scarves and with every new season comes an abundance of new designs that we just can’t resist. This season brought us pom-poms, new metallics and super soft knits to take us right through to spring, it also brought the need for some additional scarf storage at home!

Not only have we been choosing our personal favourites from this collection we've also been exchanging tips on styling to make the best of this season's most versatile accessory, so we thought we'd share them with you.

1. THE HEADSCARF

This style tip takes its inspiration from the 60’s with a retro beatnik vibe. Our lovely model rocks this look with a short bob but it’s great with any length hair. Simply fold a narrow scarf lengthways to the desired width, place the centre of the length against your forehead and tie the ends at the nape of your neck. Tie in a knot and drape the long ends or tie in a bow for shorter styles.

2. THE LOOP THROUGH

This is the style we use the most and it’s so easy to wear. Just grab both ends of the scarf in one hand and hold the looped end in the other. Place the middle of the length at the back of your neck, bring both hands to the front and pass the ends through the loop. Easy!

3. THE NECKERCHIEF

This one’s great for shorter hair and up do’s. Fold the scarf lengthways and wrap around your neck, once or twice depending on how long your scarf is. Then simply tie with your bow set slightly off centre. Fine scarves are best for this style and here we’ve used a printed silk scarf.

4. THE TWIST

The twist takes no time at all and works really well with patterns. If you’re wearing a button up coat this is ideal as you can tuck the loose ends inside the coat for a neater look. Either gently twist your scarf before wrapping it, or wrap your scarf twisting as you go, it’s as simple as that! Once your scarf is twisted and wrapped to perfection just tuck in the ends or leave them free, it’s up to you.

5. THE BOHEMIAN

We’ve used a large square scarf for this so that the corner creates a triangle at the front and this really shows off the print. This scarf has tassels at each corner which adds to the bohemian look. Just fold your square scarf in half diagonally, place against your chest with the corner in front of you, wrap the ends around your neck and bring them to the front.

We hope that this gives your plenty of inspiration and when your customers aren't sure how to style up a scarf, you'll be on hand to give advice or to make styling suggestions, it can work wonders!
